A Big Adventure
What is consulting?
Consulting represents a set of work activities where highly specialised experts provide consultancy services to an organisation’s management in such specific areas and using such know-how that the management and employees of the organisation in question are not able, for various reasons, to apply using their own means, where the given consultancy services help the company or organisation solve certain fundamental problems, mainly in the area of increasing performance, saving costs or optimising company processes, technologies or human resources.
Who are consultants?
Consultants are experts who have special knowledge or skills and who offer their clients specialist consultancy for a reward.
Consultants help in various areas of business and work activities find and implement solutions to a wide range of problems, including those related to the start of business, marketing, production, strategy, organisational structure, human resources, technologies, costs, communication etc.

For me, working in Centire means...
Ján Lenhardt - Business Consultant
As a consultant, I’m always assigned to a specific project which I take part in from the preparation, through its realisation until the end. Just as every project is different, the work necessary to complete it successfully also varies. However, it can be categorised in a certain way: at the beginning of a project, it’s always indispensable to understand the client’s needs and to identify with the project’s aim. Then I take part in defining a suitable approach and method to solve the project. In the actual realisation phase of the project, I take part in collecting the necessary data and analysing it. After the analytical work, there follows the most interesting part for me, which is assessing the analysis results and a proposal for measures to solve the client’s problems. At the end of the project, I take part in communicating the suggested solutions, or implementing them in practice. What’s most interesting for me in this work:
- the opportunity to take part in interesting and sometimes reformatory projects,
- the opportunity to meet and communicate with interesting people,
- work in a group of people who are always ready to help and whom I can learn from,
- personal contact with the client.
Peter Ďuriš - Business Analyst
I entered the company as a student in my fourth year at the Economics University in Bratislava. At the beginning of my work in the company, I was afraid of how to combine work with school and the obligations stemming from my studies. In time, however, I began to realise that work in business consulting is of great benefit not only for my career and gaining experience from carrying out projects, but also for my studies. I have gained a wider view of certain connections within companies and my work was also a resource for writing my final dissertation. At present, I work in the position of business analyst and I can’t imagine a better source of knowledge and experience than business consulting. Each person is responsible for himself and tries to create values for himself and for the company and the business in which he works. Of course, it works in this way if you identify with the work and the company. From the position of an analyst, I identify with the company and above all with the work I carry out. My aim is clear; as an analyst I create a support for solving projects from the varying environments of business as well as public administration. I am also responsible and take part in preparing company products in order for its development and move forward to be continually in the spirit of permanent improvement. One doesn’t just live for work, and so in our company, the social programme for employees isn’t left out. We have created strong links between ourselves, not only as colleagues but also as friends and acquaintances who are able to help out in difficult times. Every year, several teambuilding events are organised, which bond us together and often more things are solved here informally than in the company environment. I enjoy my work and I can grow in my career. Everything depends on you and your effort to make your place and want to be at the top in consulting and in how you do.
