Best-Practice ITIL


 

In 2006, we successfully organised the specialist presentation “Best-Practice ITIL in Bratislava and Prague”.

  

The seminar’s programme was focused on offering the widest possible overview of the problems of IT management, both from the IT department’s perspective and the organisation’s business. Together with theoretical basics from various areas of ITSM (IT service management) we also tried to present practical experiences from specific, successful implementations of ITIL in the Czech Republic. At the seminar, we provided practical information on why it is suitable to expand IT management using service supply and management, and how to do it.

  

IT management (ITSM – IT Service Management) has been under development here for several years now (practically from the last third of the last decade); nevertheless, there are a significant number of businesses where information technology might be in place, but could be operated in a much more rational, cheaper, more conceptual and safer manner, when meeting essential targets such as user satisfaction, quicker and more reliable realisation of modifications, solving problems, overview of IT structure, bases for medium-term and long-term solutions, information on real costs of IT services and the proportion of IT in products etc.

   

  

Expected benefits for participants:

  • orientation in basic ITIL and ITSM concepts,
  • idea of the possible path when introducing processes for managing information and communication technology (ICT).
