SAS Forum 2006
On October 10th 2006, the 10th edition of the SAS Forum annual conference took place in the Carlton Bratislava hotel.
Our company was one of the conference’s main partners: a partner of Stream Corporation Performance Intelligence.
The jubilee edition which took place in Bratislava’s Carlton hotel was attended by approximately 240 participants, i.e. more than the organizers ever remember having seen. The majority of participants were SAS members, not only from Slovakia, but a large group also came from the Czech Republic. The record numbers were increased by business partners and representatives from further companies looking for inspiration and solutions for their business agendas.
The introduction to the conference belonged to Gary Cokins, a strategist from the SAS company, a well-known internationally renowned authority in the area of the performance management of organisations. He is the author of many books; his third book has brought him the most success: Activity-Based Cost Management: An Executive’s Guide, which is in first place in its specialist category on the Amazon.com portal.
The conference’s aim was to present the practical experiences of companies with the use of SAS technologies and solutions, with individual presentations being grouped into thematic blocs: Customer Intelligence, Risk Intelligence and Corporate Performance Intelligence.
Not only representatives of Slovak customers such as VÚB, a.s., OTP Banka, a.s., SPP, a.s., Pôdohospodárska platobná agentúra and T-mobile SR presented themselves at the conference with their contributions, but also representatives of foreign companies such as Česká Spořitelna, T-Mobile ČR from the Czech Republic; the insurance companies Garanta and UNIQA from Austria, Russian Savings Bank, the Customs Office of Lithuania and the MKB Bank from Hungary.
Our company participated in the event with a lecture on the subject of the use of ABC/M for lowering costs in the financial sector.
