Support for the Public Administration Reform
The “Support for the Public Administration Reform” project entitled “Forms of Cooperation for Efficiently Dealing with Problems of Economic and Regional Development” was carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior of the SR, the Section for Public Administration and financed by means from Phare.
The Support for the Public Administration Reform projects entitled “Increasing Specialist Qualifications of Selected Representatives of Territorial Local Government and Employees of Public Administration” had as its target to bring to the selected representatives as well as to employees of public administration institutions as much new knowledge as possible, mainly in such areas as new financial management, the collection and administration of local taxes, new competencies and responsibilities of managing employees when managing human resources, control of the legality of decisions, inter-communal cooperation and so on.
It is indispensable to provide permanent education and replenishment of information, training courses and skills based on which employees of territorial self-government and local state administration can deal with the agenda they are given.
The contents of the project should have the execution of public affairs administration in Slovakia be of good quality, carried out at a specialist level and thus strengthen the citizens’ confidence in public administration.
