Workshop: Transform your company for growth!

How to increase competitive advantage and support business’ growth of small and medium sized enterprises despite the economic crisis? This was the main focus of the workshop, which took place in the premises of the historic Town Hall in Banská Bystrica on January the 15th.
Entrepreneurs from Banská Bystrica had the unique opportunity to learn more about the actual possibilities of the European Union support for their business in the areas of innovative technologies, as well as youth employment. Approximately twenty companies were interested in sharing the experience in the area of EU funds drawing.
The workshop, prepared in cooperation with Banská Bystrica, was officially opened by the Mayor of Banská Bystrica, Peter Gogol, who appreciated this activity as a further development of cooperation with American Chamber of Commerce. After the opening speeches of both workshop partners, Tamás Szőke, Centire Executive Director, had his presentation. He started with the European context, economic crisis and the level of youth unemployment, and continued with clarification of possible solutions for Slovakia:

  • Supporting innovation and technological transfers through the Competitiveness and Economic Growth Operational Programme
  • New EU job creation support for unemployed young people.
